The Story of My Writing
Well, today, I was determined to write something. Anything, but it should be written. So, I decided to write about why I started to express my thoughts in words. Words always fascinated me. When I was a kid, the magic of language attracted me so much, that I always wanted to master it.
Of course, there were difficulties. Initially, no one guided properly, or we can say there was a lack of a person who could offer me help. But then, it was not always about whether someone was there to support you. More often, it was about self-confidence. I clearly remember the day, when my dear brother (cousin) saw the writing I had scribbled over .He was delighted and laughed at what I have written. Well, it was definitely something you could expect from a 7-year old. The anxiety and heartbeat could have given a race to best racing cars. My brother got up, called me closer and asked:"Chinnu, you wrote this". A nod was my answer. "It's Beautiful". I was surprised. The best comment I ever got in my life. Till that time, nobody has given any encouragement.
The guidance and support I got from that person, is one which I will cherish forever. He was unique and he wanted to bring about the uniqueness in me. From that time I believed that anything is possible for anyone, if we recognize oneself. There are lot of stories to tell, all cannot be written over here. After all this, there was a time, when I totally neglected to write. It was not bought about by any particular conditions, rather it was because of my negligence. The reason is solely my laziness and lack of confidence. it took another two years to regain the confidence and to slowly build a power over words.
Till now, I have not mastered over language . There are miles to go before I can say,"Yes,I Did It".
But there is no holding back, the journey has begun and it will be eventful. I am anxious, yet I am curious and keen as a kid. hopefully, someday, I will have followers, admirers and fan base . Who knows, anything can happen, but it will happen. One day I would declare to one and all"Hey you all, I am a Writer".
